Sodium Sulphite
Sodium Sulphite (Na2SO3) is a white crystal powder or granule that tastes salty with sulphur odor.

Sodium Sulphite is used as an antichlor in water treatment and desalination plants; in the reduction of wastewater in chrome-plating industry; as a preservative in the manufacture of trinitrotoluene (TNT); as a bleaching agent and for scrubbing sulphur dioxide gas in pulp mills in power plants and for leather treatment.

It is also used as an oxygen scavenger in low-pressure boilers and in the manufacture of detergent, sodium thiosulphate and photographic chemicals.

Also it is used in several other applications as Ore Flotation, Oil Recovery, Food preservatives, Iron exchange, Fire controller, Pesticides, in making Dyes & Detergents and in Textile Industries.
Sodium BiSulphite
Sodium Bisulfite (NaHSO3) is used in almost all commercial wines, to prevent oxidation and to preserve flavor. It is also used in the analysis of methylation status of cytosine in DNA.
Sodium Bisulfite is primarily used for water treatment to remove excess chlorine in drinking water. It is used to bleach pulp in the pulp and paper industries. Mainly it is used to remove metals from industrial waste water.
Sodium Meta BiSulphite
Sodium Meta Bisulphite (Na2S2O5) is used as a preservative in the starch and food industry to control melanosis (black spot) in shrimp; for fermentation in the wine industry; as an antichlor in the chemical industry and as a redox catalyst in the acrylic fibre industry.
The product is also used as a reducing agent in the purification of aldehydes and ketones; in the manufacture of sulphonated oil and resin; for detoxification of cyanide in gold ore processing plants and in the manufacture of photographic chemicals.
Sodium Metabisulphite's acidic and preservative properties also make it an effective substitute for sodium bisulfite, a chemical which is used in traditional darkroom photography. Also, Sodium Metabisulphite is used as a bleaching agent in pulp and textile manufacture, as well as a reducing agent in pharmaceuticals.
It is also a known preservative in cosmetics. The chemical, in concentrated form, has also been used in landscape gardening as a tree stump remover, as it disintegrates the lignin -- chemicals in plant cell walls -- in the tree stumps, making them easier to remove.
